We stand up for children and young people so that they can build social connections, learn pathways to participation and inclusion early on, and find opportunities to take part – with a clear focus on equal opportunities.

We-Jugend – the WeBiKul Youth Platform
As the independent youth platform of the Westfälisches Bildungs- und Kulturzentrum e. V., We-Jugend offers young people in Greven and the surrounding area a space for exchange, participation and creative projects. Here, young people actively shape their future – digitally, openly and together. Through workshops, media projects, social initiatives and participation formats, We-Jugend strengthens young people's self-efficacy and fosters democratic participation, creativity and social responsibility. The platform sees itself as a bridge between young people, associations, schools and the wider community, contributing to the sustainable development of a vibrant youth culture.
Concept
The work of WeBiKul e.V. in child and youth welfare is based on a holistic youth welfare concept with a special focus on child protection.
Our goal is to accompany children and young people as they develop their potential and personality, and to offer them a programme that matches their stage of development.
Independence, strong self-confidence and a healthy sense of self-worth are fundamental prerequisites for a resilient personality. Personal responsibility, a sense of accountability and the ability to be part of a community are necessary to find one's own place in society while respecting both one's own rights and the rights of others.
Achieving this also requires sound skills in communication, handling criticism, cooperation and conflict resolution.
All of these competencies are important pillars of a strong, empathetic and mutually supportive society – and at the same time an essential goal of our youth welfare concept.
Quality
WeBiKul e.V. is audited at regular intervals by Certqua according to the criteria of the Accreditation and Licensing Ordinance for Employment Promotion (AZAV). In addition, WeBiKul maintains openness through transparency and an active exchange with the responsible youth welfare offices (Jugendämter). Continuing education and training for our staff ensures the lasting quality of this demanding work.
Projects
Supporting and accompanying children and young people in their development succeeds above all by providing opportunities for young people to participate and realise their potential.
For this reason, WeBiKul e.V. plans and organises new projects to make these opportunities accessible to children and young people in ever new and innovative ways, drawing on approaches from theatre, music, play, movement and youth education.
What we offer:

Staff
Both full-time and volunteer members of our child and youth work team receive special training in child protection and in the potential risks they may encounter when working with children.
An extended certificate of good conduct (Erweitertes Führungszeugnis), the youth leader card (Juleica) and continuing training on a range of important topics in child and youth work are key building blocks of our staff management when working with children and young people.
