DaF/DaZ lecturer (m/f/d)

DaF/DaZ lecturer (m/f/d)
We are looking for a DaF/DaZ lecturer (m/f/d) for integration and literacy courses and other language courses. This is a position subject to social security contributions, with a working time of up to 50% or 100%. The role is based at one of our centres in Greven, Warendorf, Münster or Georgsmarienhütte.
Your duties will include, in particular
- Teaching integration and literacy courses funded by the ‘BAMF’ programme, and other course formats where applicable
- Teaching of the German language up to at least level B1; where appropriate, teaching of the Latin alphabet
- Teaching the orientation course: imparting cultural, social, historical and political knowledge about life in Germany
- Conducting placement tests to assess language proficiency
- Administration of (mock) exams at levels A1–C1
- Course documentation: Compiling lists and reports in accordance with the guidelines set out in the ‘BAMF’
Your profile
- BAMF -Enrolment for integration courses
- Accreditation for literacy courses would be desirable; if necessary, a willingness to obtain accreditation
- A degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Teaching German as a Foreign Language, German Studies, etc.) and/or the additional qualification in Teaching German as a Foreign Language (DaF) or German as a Second Language (DaZ), and experience in designing and delivering language courses
- A passion for creative lesson planning and excellent teaching skills
- Sound knowledge of methodology and teaching methods
- Patience, a sense of humour, openness, empathy
- Intercultural competence
- A high sense of responsibility, commitment and reliability
- Willingness to undertake further training

We are looking for dedicated professionals (m/f/d) to work in the fields of child and youth work, project work and childcare. You can expect a varied and responsible role with a range of responsibilities in the educational and social sectors.
- Involvement in work with children and young people, as well as in programmes for adults and families
- Case management and professional documentation of services
- Project work in the educational and social sectors
- Administrative tasks relating to project work, e.g. drawing up educational concepts and assisting with grant applications and expenditure reports
- Development of educational concepts
- Assistance with grant applications and statements of expenditure
- Care for pre-school children (Monday to Friday)
- A completed degree or vocational training in the field of education or social work, e.g.:
- Qualified Social Worker / Qualified Social Educator / Qualified Educator
- Social worker (BA / MA)
- Social Education Worker (BA / MA)
- Educator (BA / MA)
- Qualified Special Needs Teacher
- Early years educator
- or a comparable qualification in the field of education or social work
- Experience in working with children and young people is desirable
- A reliable, flexible and independent approach to work
- The ability to work as part of a team and a sociable personality
- Enjoyment of working with people from different social and cultural backgrounds
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and spoken German
- Knowledge of one or more foreign languages (highly desirable)
- Additional qualifications in the field of education or social work (desirable)
