The "Westfälisches Bildungs- und Kulturzentrum e.V." was founded in Warendorf in 2013. As a non-profit association with additional locations in Greven, Münster and Georgsmarienhütte, its goal is to promote equal coexistence between Germans and migrants in our society through its work. At the heart of this lies the conviction that knowledge and education are the key to successful integration. Integration succeeds through active participation in social life in Germany, through learning the German language, and through educational outreach that supports peaceful coexistence among all nationalities, religions and cultures.
The purpose of Westfälisches Bildungs- und Kulturzentrum e.V. is not only educational support but also the social care of local and immigrant children, young people, women, men and families.
Our guiding principles are based primarily on three core ideas, which can be summed up by the terms "education", "upbringing" and "enlightenment".
As an AZAV-certified provider and a provider of independent youth welfare services recognised under Section 75 SGB VIII, Westfälisches Bildungs- und Kulturzentrum e.V. works closely with various institutions and authorities to respond effectively to today's societal challenges.
Since January 2018, we at WeBiKul have been a training company recognised by the IHK Nord Westfalen (Chamber of Industry and Commerce), offering a three-year vocational training programme as an office management assistant (Kaufmann/Kauffrau für Büromanagement).
Since 2019, we have also been accredited as a provider of BAMF-funded integration courses.
We are also an approved provider of learning support funded through the Education and Participation Package (BuT). In cooperation with the Chancenstiftung, we additionally award learning-support scholarships.
Together with institutions such as the Federal Employment Agency, we work intensively to advance the integration of asylum seekers both in the workplace and in the community by teaching basic German language skills. We also maintain close cooperation with the youth welfare office, particularly on projects in work with children and young people.
