"Westfälisches Bildungs- und Kulturzentrum e.V.", or WeBiKul for short, is a non-profit association founded in Warendorf in 2013.
WeBiKul is a recognised independent youth welfare provider under Section 75 of Book VIII of the German Social Code (SGB VIII / KJHG) and an approved provider under AZAV (quality management).
Our locations are in Greven, Warendorf, and Georgsmarienhütte.
Our guiding principles are based primarily on three core ideas, which can be summed up as "education", "upbringing", and "awareness-raising".
We work together with various institutions and public authorities to meet the challenges facing society.
Programme to promote the integration and participation of refugees and new immigrants in local communities
Every day, many volunteers do indispensable work for the integration of refugees and other new immigrants, not least as role models and a first point of orientation for life in Germany. They have the thanks and special recognition of the state government. The KOMM-AN NRW programme helps ensure that volunteer work on the ground is systematically supported, valued, and coordinated.
Important partners for implementing the state programme are the well-established structures of the state-funded Municipal Integration Centres and the state-funded integration agencies of the independent welfare organisations. These continue to be strengthened so that, together with the volunteers committed to the successful integration of newly arrived people in North Rhine-Westphalia, they can provide coordinated support.
